DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar from Beijing, China via train or flight and transfer to hotel. Registration. Tour the museum of Natural history with its splendid collection of Dinosaur exhibits. Dinner at hotel. Evening motorcoach tour of Ulaanbaatar, including the War Memorial at Zaisan if time permits. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Ulaanbaatar/ Bayangobi

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Bayangobi by a private coach. Arrive in Bayangobi in the late afternoon. Visit to a horse breeder's camp to see the making of airag (the mongolian national drink of fermented mare's milk) and horseback riding on Mongolian wooden saddless. Return to base camp. Overnight at Bayangobi ger camp.

Day 3: Bayangobi / Karakorum

After an early breakfast, transfort to Karakorum (50miles). Visit Erdenezuu, once one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia and almost destroyd in the 1930s. Tour of the monastery grounds and several chapels with excellent examples of Buddhist iconography dating from the 16th century. Visit to the symbolic riuns of Karakorum, the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Return to base camp. For dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Karakorum / Ulaanbaatar

Breakfast at base camp. Flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon, tour the museum of Mongolian History. Dinner and cultural performance. Overnight at hotel Ulaanbaatar.

Day 5: Ulaanbaatar

Breakfast at hotel. Tour of Gandan Monastery, followed by a tour of the fine arts museum. Transfort to hotel. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon, drive to Hustain nuruu (Pike Hustai) National Reserve to have a veiw of Przewalski wild horses, recently re-introduced back into Mongolia. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Ulaanbaatar/ Gobi Desert

Breakfast at hotel. Transfort to airfort for flight to Gobi base camp. Lunch at base camp. In the late afternoon, visit to camel breeder camp for photo opportunity, camel riding session, and explore the nomad's lifestyle. Enjoy an evening of the Gobi Desert peaceful night. Overnight in Mongolian gers.

Day 7: Gobi Desert

Breakfast at base camp. Visit Eagle Valley National Park (32 miles) for morning trek and opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape, ''Gobi Glacier" and intriguing wildlife. Picnic lunch in National Park, leisure hiking. Return to base camp. Dinner in freetime. Overnight in gers.

Day 8: Gobi Desert

Breakfast at base camp. A day trip to Bayanzag, the Flaming Cliffs (50 miles), for exploring the Gobi "Cementary of Dinosaurs" and the trail of roy Chapman Andrews. Return to base camp.

Day 9: Gobi Desert Ulaanbaatar

Breakfast at base camp. Late morning flight to Ulaanbaatar. After lunch, tour the Bogd Gegeen Palace, home of the last Mongolian Khan who ruled from till 1924. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Ulaanbaatar / Lake Huvsgul

Early breakfast at base camp. Flight to Murun, the capital of Huvsgul province, and drive to the base camp at lake Huvsgul (95 miles). Evening nomad folklore show. Dinner and overnight at base camp.

Day 11: Lake Huvsgul

Breakfast at base camp. Full day to explore the breathtaking shares of this beautiful lake, swim, horse riding and fishing. There is an ample opportunity to discover local nomad's lifestyle. Free hiking and photo session along the shorelines, a home to rich wildlife and birds. Dinner and overnight at base camp.

Day 12: Lake Huvsgul / Ulaanbaatar

Breakfast at base camp. Drive back to Murun to catch an early afternoon flight to Ulaanbaatar. After lunch, tour the "Gobi " cashmere factory for shopping original and pure cashmere gifts and garments. Evening cultural performance. Gala dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Ulaanbaatar departure

Early breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airfort for return flight.

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

 

Day 1

Meet at the airport and transfer to three or four star Hotel. Optional city tour including a visit to the Natural History Museum, where the fossilized skeletons of dinosaurs found in Gobi Desert are kept intact. Overnight in hotel.

Day 2

Transport to the airport for a flight to the Gobi Desert. Upon arrival drive to the Hanbogd ger camp to relax and have lunch. In the afternoon drive to the Eagle Valley National Park for a hike and an opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape, the Gobi Glacier and the intriguing wildlife. En route back to the base camp, visit a family of camel breeders for photo opportunities, a camel-riding session and to experience the nomadic lifestyle. Back at our camp, enjoy a peaceful evening in the beautiful surrounds of the Gobi Desert. Overnight at the camp in Mongolian gers, large and comfortable traditional felt tents.

Day 3

After breakfast drive to the Hongoryn Els sand dunes (190km). Packed lunch on the way. Arrive at the tourist camp near the famous singing sand dunes. Excursion to the nearby Lake Adag and visit a local camel breeding family to learn about the traditional nomadic lifestyle. Dinner and overnight in the ger camp.

Day 4

Excursion to Seruun Bulag spring and sand dunes. The sand dunes cover 925 square kilometers and are situated at an altitude of 1040-1840m above sea level. The dunes are 180km long and between 0.8 and 27km wide. After the excursion return to the Hanbogd ger camp. Packed lunch on the way. Refreshing dinner and overnight in camp.

Day 5

after breakfast take a flight to Ulaanbaatar. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Optional visit to the Gobi cashmere factory for shopping for pure cashmere products and souvenirs. Evening performance of Mongolian folk song and dance.

Day 6

after breakfast transfer to the airport.




Exploring the beauty of North Mongolia

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, where accommodation is at a three or four star hotel. City tour including the Sukhbaatar Square and Zaisan Hill War Memorial for a full view of the city.

Day 2

Early morning excursion to the Gandan Monastery with its gold-plated 26m Buddha statue decorated with precious stones. Then we attend a chanting ceremony by major lamas in the Monastery and pray for a successful journey. Visit to the Natural History Museum, where we will find the biggest dinosaur skeletons in the world and get acquainted with the natural history of Northern Mongolia. Then to the Winter Palace Museum of the Bogd Khaan, the home of the last Mongolian king who resided there in the early part of this century. After dinner take an evening train to Erdenet, the third biggest city in Mongolia. Overnight on the train.

Day 3

Arrival in Erdenet at eight in the morning. Short tour of the city and visit to Copper Mining Industry Historical museum, where we will see thousands of precious stones that were found in the Northern Mongolia area. Lunch in the city and then transfer to our main camp, 60kms away through mountains and green valleys. Free time for hiking in the surrounding forest when get to camp. Overnight at the resort.

Day 4

Morning walk to the Selenge river, the biggest freshwater river in the Northern Mongolia, 2km in the fresh morning air. Then a cruise down the crystal waters of the river past grassy plains and forested mountains. After an hour and a half we reach the home of a nomad family, where we will watch the traditional way of catching and saddling horses. Visitors will taste natural diary products at the family's home and we will have the chance to eat real Mongolian stone roast barbecue for dinner. We will stay in a Mongolian ger for the night, spending the evening by the light of a stove fire and traditional candles.

Day 5

We eat traditional diary products for breakfast and afterwards saddle our horses. As history says, Mongolian horses played an important role in the effort by our ancient kings to conquer half the world. The horseback ride takes 3-4 hours through forests, mountains and across the small rivers. In the afternoon we will have a hot sauna and a swim at the camp.

Day 6

Drive to the Amarbayasgalant Monastery, built in 1736 by the order of the King of Qin Dynasty, also known as the Manchu period. This was the time when the Dynasty wanted to bring Mongolia into their Empire. At first they introduced the Buddhist religion into different parts of Mongolia to make the people placid and acquiescent. The Amarbayasgalant Monastery became the biggest Buddhist Center in Northern Mongolia and was not destroyed during the communist years. There about 100 monks living in the monastery. It is 140km from the camp and we will attend a chanting ceremony by the monks. Overnight in a Mongolian ger.

Day 7

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Relax at the hotel in the afternoon. We can visit Art and Souvenir shops to buy souvenirs for our friends and family. In the evening we attend a Mongolian folk dance and music performance, where we will enjoy very old Mongolian long songs, performances by contortionists, throat singers, dancing and more. Overnight at hotel.

Departure transfers.




GOBI SHIPS OF THE DESERT

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia and transfer to your hotel. Have a relaxing lunch at the hotel. Head out for a half-day city sightseeing tour with a visit to Gandantegchinlen Buddhist Monastery, the world-famous and uniquely Mongolian temple, which is home to a 25m gold-plated Buddha and numerous small working temples. Watch the monks chant and spin the prayer wheels, and afterwards pay a visit to the velociraptor skeleton at the National History Museum. Dine out in town and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Flight to the South Gobi, a one and a half-hour flight. The Gobi is one of the most famous and unique desert regions in the world. The Gobi is made up of varying landscapes and is known for its unique natural settings and rich wildlife. Transfer to a tourist camp, where you will stay in a ger, a traditional Mongolian nomad dwelling.

Day 3

After breakfast drive to Bayanzag. On arrival in Bayanzag have a picnic lunch, after which we drive back to the camp. In the afternoon your training in the fine art of camel riding begins.

Day 4

Day Four is the first day of the camel ride. Ride your camels through canyons and sand dunes for about 30km, dismounting for lunch along the way. Our driver and cook stay ahead of the main group to set up camp and prepare the meals. Camp overnight at Nomgony Ar.

Day 5

Rouse yourself and your camel for the ride to Adag Nuur and the exquisite Seruun Bulag oasis near the Hongoriin Gol River, at an altitude of 800 meters, located on the northern slope of the Sevrei and Zuulun mountains. Visit a local camel breeder's family and experience the traditional customs and lifestyle of local residents. Camp overnight by Adag Nuur Lake.

Day 6

Drive by 4WD jeep the 180km back to the tourist camp, and stay in ger accommodation overnight.

Day 7

Catch a flight back to Ulaanbaatar. In the afternoon visit the Bogd Khaan Winter Palace Museum, a temple complex with beautiful thanks and the taxidermy collection of the eight Bogd Khaan. Check out the Natural History Museum, which is full of dinosaur eggs and skeletons uncovered in the Gobi. Watch an evening performance by a Mongolian folklore group.

Day 8

Transfer to airport and depart.




CONQUER THE HUITEN

Region: The Huiten peak (4374m) in Altai Tavan Bogd is the highest point of Mongolia. Mt. Altai Tavan Bogd is located near the northwestern border of the country. Glacier and ice are permanent in the high altitude areas of Tavan Bogd. The peak of Mt. Munh Hairhan is 4,326m above sea level.

Interesting sites: Western Mongolian landscape, snow-covered mountains and nomad lifestyle of some of Mongolia’s ethnic groups such as the Kazakh people. Altai Tavan Bogd and the magnificent natural scenery throughout the Altai mountain chain. You will cross several large crevasses and climb on steep ice (45-60) and hard snow.

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1

We will meet you in Ulaanbaatar. Lunch at the hotel. Optional city sightseeing tour including a visit to the National History Museum and Zaisan Hill War Memorial, with a panoramic view of the city. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

Flight to Ulgii, the center of Bayan-Olgii province. Lunch in Ulgii and transfer by jeep to the Ulaan Hus village on the way to Mt. Tavan Bogd. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 3

Continue the drive to Mt. Tavan Bogd base camp by jeep. (200km). Overnight stay in tents.

Day 4

Acclimatization and preparation for mountain climbing. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 5

Trekking to the N1 camp by the side of the Potanin glacier through some moraine and several large crevasses. It will take approximately 6 hours depending on snow conditions. Overnight stay in tent.

Day 6

Scale the Huiten peak (4374m). It will take approximately 4 hours. Then descend to the N1 camp and back to the base camp.

Day 7

Day of rest and preparation for the next climb. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 8

Drive to Ulaan Khus village. Overnight camping.

Day 9

Drive to Ulgii. Visit the local museum and nomad Kazakh families to learn about their lifestyle and culture. Overnight stay in tent.

Day 10

Drive to Tolbo Lake on the way to Hovd town. Overnight in tent.

Day 11

Continue driving to Hovd town and further to Munh Hairhan Mountain. On the way visit another Kazakh nomad family.

Day 12

Reach Munh Hairhan Mountain and begin climbing preparations.

Day 13

Climb the Munh Hairhan Mountain, up ice slopes, to establish the N1 base camp.

Day 14

Climbing the Suhbaatar peak (4,165m). Having reached the peak, depending on time we may be able to climb to the summit of the second peak and descend down to base camp for overnight.

Day 15

Drive to Hovd town. Overnight in local hotel.

Day 16

Flight to Ulaanbaatar. Farewell dinner in the restaurant.

Day 17

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to a three or four star hotel. Check in. City tour of Ulaanbaatar if time permits. Folk performance in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Tour the Gandan Monastery, followed by a tour of the Bogd Gegeen Winter Palace, home of the last Mongolian Khan and religious head Bogd Javzundamba who ruled from 1911 until 1924. In the afternoon, visit the Natural History museum. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

After an early breakfast leave UB. On the way to the Gobi visit Baga Gazriin Chuluu Lake and the ruins of Sum Khukh Burd Temple. Overnight in traditional Mongolian gers at our Middle Gobi camp.

Day 4

Breakfast at the camp. Continue driving towards the South Gobi. On the way visit Sangiin Dalai Temple in Erdenedalai, one of the few monasteries and temples to survive the communist purges in 1930s. Arrive at our camp in the South Gobi in the evening, dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Breakfast at the camp. Full day excursion to Yol Valley (Eagle Valley) National Park for hiking and an opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape, the Gobi Glacier and the local wildlife. Picnic lunch in the Yolyn Am National Park. Spend the afternoon hiking or relaxing. Return to the camp and overnight.

Day 6

Early breakfast at the camp. Start the drive towards Karakorum. On the way explore the world famous Flaming Cliffs (Bayan Zag), the Gobi Dinosaurs Cemetary and the trail of paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews. Stop for the night in a ger camp near Ongyn Khiid.

Day 7

Breakfast at our campsite. Continue driving to Karakorum. Arrive at Karakorum in the afternoon. Overnight at our ger camp.

Day 8

Early breakfast at the camp. Visit Erdene-Zuu, once one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia and almost destroyed in the 1930s. Tour of the monastery grounds and several chapels with excellent examples of Buddhist iconography dating from the 16th century. Visit the symbolic ruins of Karakorum, the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Drive to Bayangobi. Explore the area and visit the Uvgunt Monastery. Overnight at the Ger camp.

Day 9

Breakfast at the camp. Drive to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to railway station for departure.




RIDE THROUGH TERELJ

Region: Central Mongolia, Hentii Mountain range

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, and transfer to hotel and have lunch. City sightseeing tour including a visit to Gandan Monastery, with its huge gold-plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival. See the monks chanting, spin some prayer wheels and view the intricately embroidered thankas. In the afternoon see the dinosaur skeletons and the renowned Camel Room at the National History Museum. Dinner in one of the finest restaurants in UB. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2

Drive to Terelj-Gorkhi National Park, a fascinating area about 80km to the east of Ulaanbaatar. High Mesozoic granite cliffs, sculpted into unique formations by wind, frost and rain erosion, loom over fertile valleys. Saddle up the horses, ride around 10km and set up camp for the night.

Day 3

Arrive in the area of Tsagaan Suuliin Garam pass after an 18km ride. Be inspired by the surrounding wildflower meadows and the soaring mountains above. Camp overnight.

Day 4

Ride on to the Gyalalzakh area, 17 km away, through the fertile valleys and mountains of the Hentii mountain range. Pick a scenic spot and pitch your tents.

Day 5

Arrive at the Gunjiin Sum Buddhist temple. Here lies the grave of Queen of the Mongolian 'Ephu' king Dondovdorj, who was married to the sixth daughter of a Manchu king. Dondovdorj built the temple in 1740 after the death of his queen. It is his monument to the woman who had once been awarded the title of "Diligent and Kind", and who was poisoned by the Manchus after she displeased them with her support of the Mongolian people.

Day 6

On the way back to the Terelj ger camp, camp overnight on the picturesque banks of the Shivertiin Gol River.

Day 7

Complete the ride back to the camp at Terelj. The night ends with a farewell party, with delicious traditional Mongolian cuisine khorkhog.

Day 8

Drive from the tourist camp back to Ulaanbaatar. In the afternoon, visit the Bogd Khaan Winter Palace Museum and Natural History Museum. The Winter Palace was the home of the eight Bogd Khaan, and consists of a complex of temples and the Bogd's European-style home, which is filled with such wonders as a ger covered in snow-leopard furs, gifts to the Bogd Khaan from world leaders, and stuffed seals, penguins and even a giraffe. In the evening, see a performance by a Mongolian folklore group.

Day 9

Transfer to airport and depart.




CENTRAL AREA FLY-FISHING

Region: Central Mongolia

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 2

On the way to our fishing camp on the Chuluut River, stop at Karakorum for the night. Karakorum was the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire, established in 1220 and was used by Chinggis Khan as a supply point for the Mongol armies. The ruins of the city are now slowly disappearing back into the steppe, but the foundations of the buildings and palaces convey a sense of the grandeur of the ancient capital.

Day 3

Early in the morning start the 280km drive to our fishing camp on the Chuluut River. The Chuluut River winds its way through a steep basalt gorge, and the area is perfect for fly-fishing and white-water rafting. Spend the afternoon fishing and overnight at the camp.

Day 4 - Day 8

Delight in a full five days of fishing and touring the local area. Camp each night by the rushing waters of the Chuluut.

Day 9

Return by jeep to the tourist camp. Tour the Erdene Zuu monastery, which is located northwest of the site of the imperial city and was built using materials and stones from the ruins of Karakorum. Construction of the monastery began in the 16th century and continued until the early 20th century. At one time the monastery complex held several temples and housed 1000 monks, but during the communist purges of the 1930s most of the temple buildings were destroyed and the monks sent into exile or killed. At present Erdene Zuu is both a museum and a working monastery. Spend the day visiting the museum, monastery and doing some souvenir shopping. Overnight in the nearby ger camp.

Day 10

Return to Ulaanbaatar.Visit the Zanabazar Fine Arts museum, which holds some of the greatest works of the renowned 17th century Buddhist sculptor. Tour the Museum of National History, making sure to see the dinosaur skeletons uncovered in the Gobi and the Golden Camel Museum section. Afterwards there will be time for cashmere and souvenir shopping.Overnight at hotel.

Day 11

Depart from Ulaanbaatar

Notes

For detailed information on fishing tours, including fishing equipment, bait requirements and group discounts, contact our office. We suggest you bring sunglasses, a summer hat that fully protects your face and neck from the sun, sunscreen lotion, rain coat, rain boots, mosquito creams, flash lights and a personal medical kit. Tents and sleeping bags are rented - unless you wish to bring your own.




TSENKHER HOT SPRING

Region: Central Mongolia

Interesting sites: Hot spring with a temperature of 86.5 degrees Celsius. Large Taikhar rocks stand in the middle of the grassy steppe. Symbolic ruins of ancient Mongol Empire capital city – Karakorum and Erdene-Zuu Monastery, the oldest and biggest Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, built on the ruins of Karakorum. The monastery is an example of the best of Mongolian Buddhist architecture and contains many religious artworks. Prezewalski wild horse.

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. Lunch at the hotel. City tour including a visit to the dinosaur fossils at the National History Museum. Dinner in a Mongolian national dwelling, a ger. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Visit to Gandantegchinlen Buddhist Monastery, with a 25m high gold-plated statue of Buddha and numerous traditional temples. Drive to Karakorum, 380km away. Overnight stay at the ger camp.

Day 3

Visit to Erdene-Zuu Monastery in Karakorum on the way to the Tsenkher Jiguur hot springs. Overnight stay at ger camp at the spa.

Day 4

Bathing in hot springs at the camp. Visit a local nomadic family by yak cart. Overnight stay at ger camp.

Day 5

Excursion to Taikhar Chuluu site, 45km from the camp. In the afternoon drive to the Bayangobi. Overnight stay at Ger camp.

Day 6

Drive to Khustai Nuruu Protected Area to see the Przevalski wild horses, recently re-introduced in Mongolia. Overnight stay at ger camp.

Day 7

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city. Evening performance by a Mongolian folklore group. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Transfer to the airport and departure

Notes

The Tsenkher Jiguur hot springs lie around 30km south of the Arkhangai province center, Tsetserleg. The hot springs serve as a health spa for tourists. The waters of the spring maintain a constant temperature of 86.5 degrees Celsius and contain hydrogen sulfide. Facilities include indoor and outdoor baths, showers and ger accommodation.

Day 1

Transfer directly to Terelj (80km) with a stopover en route at Turtle Rock for sightseeing.Half day horse riding near Terelj tourist camp. Visit a local nomadic family and learn about the nomadic lifestyle, and try traditional dairy products such as airag (fermented mare's milk). For dinner taste a real Mongolian stone roast barbeque (khorkhog). Overnight in a traditional Mongolian dwelling, a ger.

Day 2

Early morning transfer back to Ulaanbaatar for departure.




UNDUR DOV

Region: Tuv Province

Interesting sites: Manzshir monastery, horse riding, hiking, visit to nomadic family

Length of tour: 1 night / 2 days

Day l

Transfer directly to the Manzshir Monastery (45km). Visit to the local museum and temple. Transfer to the tourist camp (5km). Half day horse riding. Overnight in gers at the tourist camp.

Day 2

Local exploration in the morning. Visit a local nomadic family. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar.




HUSTAIN NURUU PROTECTED AREA

Region: Hustain nuruu mountain

Interesting sites: Visits to view Przewalski wild horses, hiking, horse riding

Length of tour: 1 night / 2 days

Day 1

Transfer to Hustain Nuruu Protected Area. Lunch in a ger camp. After lunch visit the local museum with exhibitions of the flora and fauna of the Hustai Protected Area. Drive to Hustain Pike to see Przewalski wild horses in their natural habitat (5km). Return to base camp for a dinner of real Mongolian stone roast barbeque (khorkhog).

Day 2

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Shopping tour in Ulaanbaatar and an evening performance of folk singing and dancing.




STARS OF THE MONGOLIAN SKY

Day 1

Meet in Ulaanbaatar. City tour including Zaisan War Memorial, Gandan Monastery, Natural History Museum with meteor exhibition. Lunch and afternoon drive to Khurel Togoot Star Observation Center 25km from UB. (1280m above sea level) Acclimatization and easy mountain trekking for an hour. For dinner taste a real Mongolian stone roast barbeque (khorkhog). Close to midnight an introduction to Khurel Togoot Observation Center and observation of stars with telescopes. Overnight in a hotel in Khurel Togoot.

DAY BY DAY ITENARY

Day 1

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and group joining. Three star hotel in UB.

Day 2

Visit Gandan Monastery, attend the buddhist chanting. Drive to Manzushir Monastery. Lunch. Drive to Bayangobi tourist camp. Visit to nomad's family, horse or camel riding. Dinner.

Day 3

Drive to Sangiin Dalai Temple through sum Burd. Tented night near Sangiin Dalai lake.

Day 4

After breakfast drive to Karakorum through Shankh Monastery. Visit to Shankh Monastery. Lunch at Karakorum base camp. Visit to Erdene Zuu Monastery.

Day 5

Voyage to Tuvkhun Temple in Arkhangai aimag. Packed lunch. Return to Karakorum , further drive to Nature tours camp.

Day 6

Day 1:

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar , City tour

Day2:

Fly to South Gobi. Drive to ger camp. Walking near the camp Hiking at Yol Valley.

Day3:

Drive to Khooolt bag, meet camel man, Preparation to the camel trip Overnight in tents near camel man's ger.

Day4-6:

Ride by camel to Gyalaanii am. Camel riding for 6-8 hours covering approximately 25 km per day.

Day 7:

Drive from camp to Dalanzadgad and by to UB.

TOUR TO BAIKAL AREA

Region: Mongolia, Russian

Length of tour: 5 night / 6 days

The tour takes 3 days/ 2 nights. At this short trip you can visit Irkutsk city with its wooden houses, churches, local museums like local lore museum, art gallery. You will see Baikal lake - the most beautiful lake in the world. By visiting Limnological Museum near Baikal lake you can know the history of the lake and specialities.

Day 1

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. Lunch at the hotel. City tour including a visit to the dinosaur fossils at the National History Museum. Dinner in a Mongolian national dwelling, a ger. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Flight to Irkutsk. Welcome to Irkutsk, the capital of Eastern Siberia, the one of the oldest Russian cities founded in 1661. You will be transferred to the hotel "Russ" which is located at the center of the city. Irkutsk city tour. Your day will start with full-day trip to the world deepest lake of Baikal. On the way to the lake you will have an opportunity to see the Open Air Wooden Architecture Museum. In the middle of the day you will enjoy the Russian tradition meal at the restaurant on the shore of the lake. Your day will continue with the Limnological Museum with its unique collection of flora and fauna species Baikal lake. You will transferred to Irkutsk.

Day 3

Your day will start with the visit to one of Irkutsk museum: at choice - local lore museum, art gallery, museum of Spasskaya church, mineralogical or nature study museum. In the evening you will be transferred to the airport or railway station. Departure from Irkutsk.

Day 4

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel lunch at restaurant . Drive to Terelj-Gorkhi National Park, a fascinating area about 80km to the east of Ulaanbaatar. High Mesozoic granite cliffs, sculpted into unique formations by wind, frost and rain erosion, loom over fertile valleys. Saddle up the horses, ride around 10km and set up camp for the night.

Day 5

Back in Ulaanbaatar, Tour the Gandan Monastery, followed by a tour of the Bogd Gegeen Winter Palace, home of the last Mongolian Khan and religious head Bogd Javzundamba who ruled from 1911 until 1924. In the afternoon, visit the Natural History museum. Shopping, Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
